Bachelor's Grove Cemetery |
 |
| Midlothian, IL |
Bachelor's Grove Cemetery in the south suburb of Midlothian,
Il is renouned as being one of the most haunted cemeteries
in the world. This small one acre cemetery is boardered
on one side by a pond that, in the 1920s, was used as a
dumping ground for victims of Mafia hits.
Along with the many phantom people, animals, and objects
are men wearing '20s era suits. Throughout Chicago's long
Mafia history, much of the action took place outside the
city limits, where police departments were smaller and less
street-wise.

Desecrated Grave in Bachelor's
Grove Cemetery |
 |
| Midlothian, IL |
Bachelor's Grove Cemetery has been around for well over
100 years, though the first hauntings were reported in the
1960s. The road that serviced the cemetery was rerouted
to bypass it. This made the cemetery extremely isolated.
In the '60s and 70s the cemetery was severely desecrated.
Grave stones were smashed or stolen and bodies were unearthed.
While this was going on, Bachelor's Grove was growing a
reputation for being a common place for satanic worship.
The bodies of newly sacrificed animals are still found there
to this day.

| The neighborhood of Bucktown in Chicago |
The upper window to the right used to be the bedroom of
Wally, the former owner of this establishment. Sadly, this
is also the room he comitted suicide in. His wife remained
in the apartment until her natural death several years later.
Since his death, Wally has been sensed on an almost daily
basis. Current workers in his pub believe that Wally's wife
is also still around and that, in the years between his
death and hers, she communicated with Wally.
A bartender who seemed to be challenging the validity of
Wally's ghost had a heavy statue droped directly behind
her from a shelf as she passed it. The remains of the broken
statue are still on display behind the bar. Cold cpots are
commonly felt and objects in the bar are often rearranged
to match where things were kept when Wally was the bar manager.

The House on Rainbow Road |
 |
| Barrington, IL |
Cuba Road is one of the most haunted areas north of Chciago.
Just off of Cuba Road is Rainbow Road. At the bend of Rainbow
Road there is a blocked off enterance to a large vacant
estate. At the end of the driveway pictured to the left
was a massive three story mansion. Legend has it that, this
house was owned by the Chciago Mafia and used by various
gangsters to lay low during the '30s.
The land has sat vacant for decades. There are a number
of structures on the property, however, the mansion, which
was the site of satanic ritual and became extremely haunted,
was burned down as part of a fireman's training exercise.
