TRIP TO THE NORTH POLE
After red lighting a number of different project ideas, I have finally found one that I officially given the green light to. Mundelein High School in Chicago's Northern suburbs has an aviation program that has gained national attention since it started in the late 1980's. In these classes high school students actually build an FAA certified aircraft. Currently, teacher Jim Jackson is overseeing the completion of the forth airplane made by the students. It is a four-seat Lancair that will be used by environmental research scientists. This past week Jackson presented the idea for me to film a documentary on the airplane, which is set to be finished by this December. I will also be with the plane as it gets certified and as makes a trip to the geographic North Pole.

DESIGN CONTEST
The deadline for this contest is June 30, 2001. In case you don't know, right now there is a contest going. The winner gets to design the front and back cover art as well as what will actually be printed on the disc for the upcoming CD-ROM release, Voices from the Chicago Grave. In order to submit an idea, you don't even have to create the art yourself, simply write down the idea(s) in an eMail and mail it to Scott@slimpictures.com. If needed, feel free to attach a scan of a sketch.
Remember, this CD-ROM is about haunted places in Chicago, so reach deep into Tim Burton side of your personalities and see what results.

The winner of the contest will gain credit on the credit page of the CD-ROM, admission for four to the premiere of the CD-ROM, a copy of "Voices from the Grave" signed by Jason Jacobs, Jeff Lord, and Scott Markus, and a copy of Voices from the Chicago Grave signed by Mary Czerwinski and myself.

SCHEDULING PUBLIC APPEARANCES HAVE BEGUN!
With the popularity and success of my publicity tour last October, I have decided to make public appearances all across Northeastern Illinois again this year to promote "Voices from the Grave" and Voices from the Chicago Grave. I have already been booked for my first spot (October 4 in Crystal Lake, IL). Anyone interested in a booking can contact me at scott@slimpictures.com. In the upcoming months, don't forget to check back at the web site to see if I'll be coming to a town, radio station, or television show near you!
