HALLOWEEN 2000 PUBLICITY TOUR
You may be noticing that this newsletter is coming out a little early
this month. That is because "Voices from the Grave"
is taking off and we now have a full publicity tour slated for the remainder
of this month, partically thanks to marketing wiz Pat
DiPrima. The Publicity tour consists of several public
appearances and a few radio shows. Some have passed, but more are left
to come.
You can check out the complete publicity tour schedule on the web site
at www.slimpictures.com, but for now I'm just going to mention the two
most important venues.
On this Thursday I will be appearing with producer Mary
Czerwinski at The Savvy Traveller Bookstore
located on South Michigan Avenue between Van Buren and Jackson in Chicago.
This event is free and runs from 5:30 to 7:00 CDT. Mary and I will be
leading a discussion on ghost stories based in the Chicago area.
On Halloween evening I will be appearing on The Pete
McMurray Show on WCKG 105.9 FM (Chicago). We are going to be
broadcasting live from some of the more famously haunted areas in the
Chicago area.
If you're in the area, I hope you'll be able to take part in at least
one of the events we have planned through the end of the month.
COMMERCIAL
The commercial for Voices from the Chicago Grave was
shot over the course of one 14-hour day. There are many
details as well as behind the scenes pictures currently on the web site.
Many thanks go out to the entire cast and crew for the long and successful
shoot.
WEB SITE
After having problems off-and-on with the web site JP
Maurer and I think we have it all figured out. It is up,
running, and fully functional. After being up for just over two weeks
we've had over 100 visitors. Not bad for a site that was just today added
to most web browsers.
JPM PRODUCTIONS
The street theater show, "Fright Fest" is going into its final
weekend of the 2000 year from the 27th to the 29th. So far this year I
have acted solely as a director. Unfortunately, I have only been able
to attend about half of the shows run to mostly to the publicity tour,
but I can say with all honesty that I've been extremely impressed with
what I've seen. Line Producer John Champion,
and the man in charge of casting Bob Hollister
have out done themselves. All 240+ actors also deserve
a loud round of applause.
