Thomas Garber’s style is rich in humanity, filmic style and relatable storytelling.

He started working as an editor and that experience still shows strongly in his work today. Thomas directs his spots with an imaginary edit in mind, connecting emotions and creating a cinematic visual flow.

In the US, Thomas has directed for the likes of Jeep, Dodge, AT&T, Lincoln, Disney, Corona, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Nissan and many more.

Born in the place of W. A. Mozart, Salzburg Austria, Thomas discovered his love of music, design and art in his early days.

He studied art with a focus on “MultiMedia Art” in his early twenties. After graduating with a Master of Arts, he started out as a director for music videos and played lead guitar in a crossover band for years.

Thomas got signed internationally while he went on studying film at the prestigious German Baden-Württemberg Film Academy. Shortly after signing, he was nominated for the Young Director Award in Cannes and his work was presented at the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors showcase.

Thomas initially signed with Slim in 2013 and after a stint away re-signed with Slim in 2024, continuing to create wonderful campaigns with lot’s of heart and dynamic imagery.
